Cartref oddi Cartref is a small, family-run care home with ten bedrooms, set near the calm of Sandy Water Park. We offer residential and early-onset dementia care that feels personal, because it is. We're a mother and daughter team who know every resident by name.

We started Cartref oddi Cartref because we wanted a care home we'd choose for our own family, calm, unhurried, and close enough to the coast that residents can still smell the sea air. Every room is fully furnished with a private en-suite wet room, and every day is built around what each resident actually wants, not a fixed routine.
We are currently progressing through the registration process to provide residential care for people aged 65 and over, including support for those living with early-onset dementia. Our approach is centred on dignity, familiarity and supporting each person to maintain as much independence as possible.

Cartref oddi Cartref was founded by a mother and daughter who wanted care to feel like home, not an institution. Between them, they bring hands-on care experience and clinical nursing knowledge and a shared belief that every resident should feel known, not just looked after.

Residential care
Safe, comfortable, day-to-day support that still leaves room for independence. We encourage residents to stay active, keep their routines, and take part in daily life at their own pace.
Early-onset dementia care
Person-centred support for residents living with early-onset dementia, focused on preserving dignity and familiarity. We take time to understand each person's history and needs, so care feels personal rather than procedural.

An MVHR ventilation system keeps air moving and fresh throughout the home, in every room.
Meals cooked fresh, daily
Nutritious home-cooked food, planned around individual tastes and dietary needs.
A private en-suite wet room
Every bedroom has its own fully accessible wet room, for comfort and independence.
An advanced call bell system
Wearable call bells system allow residents to request assistance wherever they are, while staff can quickly identify their location. Our integrated call bell and intercom system also allows families to call directly into their loved one’s room, helping residents stay connected and reassured.
Digital TVs in every room
Residents keep their own entertainment and routines close at hand.
A shared, sociable lounge
A comfortable communal area for residents to sit together, chat, and take part in activities.
